Handy Xero Features We Love

We are a xero based practice. Here are some of the great features we love.

1. Cloud Based – Makes working with our clients just easier. We can access the same system, view reports, look up details or fix minor accounting mishaps on the go. We do a quick check over our clients Xero every couple of months, this keeps our ‘head in the game’. This also puts us in a better position to offer advice and help our clients make better business decisions. The handy phone app also provides access on the go.

2. Xero is Smart and Learns – Xero remembers how transactions are coded, next time the same occurs, Xero suggests the coding. This helps keep things consistent and saves time. Just check and click ‘OK’ if it’s right. The same goes for bank transfers keeping everything neat and tidy resulting in less errors.

3. Copies of Bills Saved with Accounts to pay - PDF bills can be sent straight to Xero which are then turned into bills to pay with the PDF copy attached. Great for when you want to move towards the paperless office or what to look up the detail in a bill, or drill down into the detail of a total, its all in Xero.

4. Extras – Projects, Payroll and Expenses Claims – Addon’s such as Projects lets you track time and costs against simple jobs, create budgets, quotes and invoices against projects. Reports show you the profitability and detail on each job. Xero Payroll provides wage processing capabilities, tracks leave and lets staff enter hours and leave applications via an app. Expense claims is great for tracking staff or owners expenses or vehicle milage for reimbursement, keeps copies of receipts and has an approval system.

5. Apps Marketplace – Over 500+ add on applications that integrate with Xero, there are plenty of opportunities to bolt on time saving or feature rich applications.

6. einvoice – The next big change is already available in Xero. This invoicing protocol allows accounting systems to send and receive invoices direct system to system. Saves keying errors and speeds up the process while retaining all the detail of every invoice in Xero. Xero einvoice is already ready to go and so is the Government with a promise of 10 day payment for bills under $1m when send to Govt departments using einvoice.
